What types of plant machines can I hire?
We offer a variety of machines ranging from Backhoe Loaders, Dozers, Dumptrucks, Excavators, Loading Shovels, Rollers, Telehandlers.

We also supply road vehicles for hire such as Sweepers, Tipper Wagons and Grab Wagons.
Do you offer operated and self-drive plant hire?
Yes we offer both operated plant hire and self-drive machine hire.

We have experienced plant operators within our team who are able for local jobs, whilst we also work with a few staff agencies for sites which are further away.

Typically unless stated otherwise – our self-drive hires are based on a minimum week, whilst our operated hires are minimum 8 hours per day.

Which excavators are available for hire?
We have a wide variety of excavators – which includes different type and size. See below for information:

Which dumpers are available for hire?
We have a selection of Dumpers which are available to hire for your site projects including earthmoving jobs. See information below:

- Cabbed Dumpers (6 to 9 ton)
- Dumptrucks (10 to 30 ton)
Which machines are equipped with GPS?
Yes we have a variety of Buldozers and Excavators primarily on Topcon GPS.

We have recently added Leica GPS to some of the fleet.

How do I find the specifications of a machine?
Finding specifications is easy, you can either navigation to your chosen machine via the machine type icons above or click machines on the menu at the top/bottom of this website.

Are your plant hire machines regularly maintained?
Yes all our plant machines are regularly checked by our fitters either in the depot or onsite.

We provide a regular 12 month check on all machines, to provide you with an up-to-date loler inspection.

Our mechanics also keep a record of service intervals and onsite repairs, so they are aware of oil changes or parts required.
Where is Hather Plant Hire based?
We have an 11 acre site which is located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire on Sheffield Road.

This provides us with superb access to the M1 Motorway from both Junction 34 and Junction 33.
